Accessibility statement for Pay a DVLA Fine
This accessibility statement applies to the service for paying a DVLA fine. (opens in a new tab) (https://www.gov.uk/pay-dvla-fine)
This website is run by Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts
- zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard or speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
AbilityNet (opens in a new tab) has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible as:
- some skip links do not reposition focus to the start of the main content
- some content has been marked up incorrectly, resulting in the information not being announced to screen reader users
- the colour of the focus indicator used throughout the service failed to meet the expected colour ratio of 3:1

What we’re doing to improve accessibility
DVLA is working to improve the accessibility of all its services. Our newer services will be updated to ensure compliance to Accessibility standards during 2020 and 2021. Our driver online services are currently being reviewed with the aim to replace them with simpler more accessible services during the next two years.
